Lynda working on a patient using Sarah Keys mobility methods

LYNDA BRUDENELL
BSc Hons McSP HCPC

Lynda is a highly experienced physiotherapist of almost 20 years whose passion lies at getting to the root cause of her patients' problems.

She looks at the entire body’s movements and lifestyle factors to see what is wrong, why it’s happening, and map out what you can do about it, together.

Treating each patient as an individual, a tailored assessment will lead to a clear understanding, and a path to recovery combining hands on treatment and rehabilitation strategy.

Working with elite athletes from the worlds of CrossFit, MMA and Motocross, as well as dealing with shoulder injuries, lower back pain and everything in between, Lynda can forge a recovery plan to suit a wide range of patients.

Lynda firmly believes that recovery and success can only happen when you take a whole body approach. This means looking at the person’s mobility, functionality and lifestyle factors, not just areas of pain.

"Nobody will leave Forge without knowing what is causing pain, how to tackle it, and what to do to stop it returning"

Beginning her career in NHS hospitals and as Head Physiotherapist at Ballynahinch Rugby Club, Lynda spent the next 12 years in one of NI’s top private clinics. Working directly with the country’s leading orthopaedic consultants, here she specialised in treating shoulder dysfunction.

A powerhouse of positivity, Lynda isn’t just hands-on, she is specially trained in the Sarah Keys methods of using her feet and body weight to maximise spinal mobilisation.

Forging her own way, Lynda founded the clinic in 2022. Two treatment rooms combined with state of the art equipment from leading manufacturers BlkBox, and shockwave therapy technology allows Forge to cater for a variety of clinical needs.

Gail at Forge

A sports therapist, registered nurse and international athlete, Gail’s rehab techniques are brimming with the expertise and power she brings to the clinic.

12 years’ specialising in multiple types of sports massage, dry needling, kinesio taping and creating specialist mobility training plans including pregnancy and postnatal, Gail's mastery in massage is something to behold.

Having earned caps playing Rugby for Scotland, both coaching and competing in Crossfit, and holding the title of Europe's strongest Natural Master in Strongwoman, Gail understands the importance of rehabilitation and firmly believes training doesn't need to stop.

"We need to train what we can train and rest the rest"

Gail also specialises in pre and post natal coaching. A mother of two herself, she fully understands the changes your body makes during this time and has undergone extensive study in this area to help curate safe training plans.

Gail boasts some of the country's best CrossFit competitors as patients and her extensive catalogue of massage therapies helps keep them at the top of their game.

Her experience as a Sports Therapist and A&E Nurse combined, mean her assessment and treatment skills provide a rounded service for anyone with either sports related injuries or aches and pains in general.

Gail, who already runs Movement Matters, will team up with Forge every Thursday to bring her knowledge and energy to the clinic here in Lisburn.

Working alongside Lynda, Gail will not only offer sports massage but help create and deliver achievable, progressive rehab programmes don't just teach you about your body, but improve performance.
